📋 Description

• Lead and direct multiple teams of Senior Application Development Engineers responsible for large-scale, complex application development projects and programs • Provide technical guidance to engineering teams and implement best-practice development methods • Participate in technical architecture meetings and provide feedback to the team • Manage a large portfolio of new development, enhancement, and maintenance projects through quality, schedule, competing-priority, and cost-management challenges • Develop goals and strategies for engineering teams supporting organizational objectives • Define processes to identify and evaluate risks and participate in mitigation and control activities • Maintain relationships with Application and Infrastructure Management operational groups • Partner with Security and SRE teams to ensure security and change-management policies are followed • Lead the design and development of proof-of-concept and prototype application environments • Recruit, select, orient, train, and develop employees • Establish operational objectives and delegate tasks to developers to support stable application-development operations • Develop staff capabilities and strengthen understanding of application-development industry practices and business issues • Develop and communicate departmental objectives and motivate team members to achieve results • Hold teams accountable for functional, quality, and timeline objectives • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of related experience, including prior management experience, or equivalent experience acquired through applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill • Experience with Application Development and Applications Architecture • Experience with DevOps industry best practices • Knowledge of Agile Software Development • Ability to lead/manage others • Collaboration and team building skills • Ability to coach and deliver constructive feedback • Ability to communicate and make recommendations to upper management • Effective conflict management skills • Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations • Demonstrated negotiation skills • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to facilitate project initiatives and goals • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future
