📋 Description

• Accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner with pharmacists • Provide customer service and phone outreach to patients and healthcare providers • Contact medical offices to clarify prescriptions • Update patients on prescription outcomes • Support pharmacist callback queues by obtaining refill authorizations and prescription clarifications • Assist with pre-QA and data entry activities • Respond to email escalations • Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions • Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist • Maintain and update inventory recap reports • Retrieve discontinued or expired medications from stock and discard or return them as appropriate • Complete corresponding medication documentation • Maintain prescription logs • Maintain pharmacy temperature and cleaning logs and related maintenance documentation • Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements • Perform other duties as assigned • Comply with all policies and standards

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • 2+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office experience • Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses • Must reside in and maintain an active Pharmacy Technician license in Texas, Missouri, or California • State pharmacy technician license(s) relative to where the employee and assigned pharmacy are located • Specialty pharmacy experience including Infusion and/or Oncology is highly preferred • National Certification, PTCB or ExCPT, highly preferred • Proficiency with computer systems • Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM in the employee's own time zone • Some holidays required when the business is open
