📋 Description

• Serve as a legal counselor to Centene business leaders, providing strategic legal input and guidance • Partner with business leaders to develop solutions to legal problems and challenges • Handle national-level and/or Company-wide legal matters • Provide legal advice to Centene entities and develop solutions to legal and regulatory requirements impacting product lines and programs • Serve as primary counsel for business development, procurement, network development, operations, compliance, internal audit, and other key functions • Serve as primary counsel to Centene subsidiaries and provide general counsel services • Advise corporate teams on solving business challenges • Develop and recommend legal structures for business opportunities, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and contractual relationships • Draft and negotiate related contracts, policies, procedures, and other documents • Manage outside counsel as necessary to ensure efficient, high-quality legal services • Recommend and develop law-related training and preventative law activities • Perform other duties as assigned • Comply with all policies and standards

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) required • Bar Admission and currently in good standing required • 7+ years of experience in corporate and/or health law required • 1+ years of experience with complex merger and acquisition, joint venture and other transactions, government contract law, health law and managed care preferred • 1+ years of experience in highly regulated industries preferred • Master's Degree preferred • Equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position
