📋 Description

• Lead a technical team managing CenterWell’s AI and machine learning portfolio • Translate product priorities into validated AI solutions improving patient-care measurement and operational efficiency • Lead development and validation of AI/ML models for business-segment-specific and company-wide applications • Apply appropriate AI methods in healthcare contexts • Promote experimentation and rapid prototyping to validate technical feasibility and model performance • Ensure models are operationally viable, maintainable, and production-ready • Implement enterprise-level frameworks for model monitoring and production performance tracking • Define the technical vision, roadmap, and operating model for scalable data science • Partner with AI Product Management to translate use cases into technical approaches, timelines, and resource requirements • Provide technical consulting on feasibility, effort estimation, and trade-offs • Communicate model capabilities and performance to non-technical partners • Create technical roadmaps aligned with product priorities • Engage clinical and operational partners to understand domain context and validate model output • Develop a high-performing data science team and foster collaboration and learning • Build reusable frameworks, model templates, and shared libraries • Partner with Product, IT, Enterprise AI, data governance/architecture, clinical, and operations teams

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of data science experience developing and deploying ML models in production environments • Deep technical expertise in AI/ML approaches • Hands-on experience writing and reviewing product-quality code • Experience developing models from conception through production • 5+ years of management experience, including talent development and crossfunctional leadership • Experience partnering with product, engineering, and partners to translate requirements into technical solutions • Experience with MLOps practices including model versioning, experiment tracking, and product monitoring • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences • Ability to maintain credibility with senior data scientists and ML engineers • Demonstrated leadership establishing technical standards, best practices, and team processes • Ability to work Eastern Time Zone hours • Dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information • Home internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds • Preferred: experience in healthcare settings, EHR data, clinical terminologies, and healthcare-specific ML complexities • Preferred: familiarity with healthcare regulatory frameworks • Preferred: advanced degree (MS or PhD) in computer science, (bio)statistics, informatics, or related quantitative field
