Central Health is the Travis County Hospital District — a public hospital district and local health authority that coordinates and funds health care services and coverage for residents of Travis County, Texas. 📋 Description

• Serve as the initial point of contact for new and established CommUnityCare patients • Schedule, confirm, reschedule, and cancel physician appointments • Use multiline phone systems and perform data entry in the EPIC Electronic Practice Management system • Interview patients or representatives to match them with the appropriate clinic and primary care provider • Gather patient demographic and insurance information • Identify and prioritize urgent scheduling needs • Resolve patient inquiries and facilitate financial screening services • Maintain patient confidentiality and meet patient experience metrics • Follow standardized scheduling practices and telephone scripts • Collaborate with clinics, departments, divisions, patients, families, and staff to provide patient-centered care • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • 1 year previous experience in a medical or call-center setting required • Ability to type at least 45 wpm • Previous scheduling, registration, billing, or administrative assistant experience • Knowledge of appointment scheduling • Ability to implement defined scheduling protocols • Strong customer service skills, including the ability to resolve patient complaints or refer them appropriately to the manager • Working knowledge of Epic EPM/EMR Systems • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, and Excel • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
