• Plan, schedule, and execute full life-cycle commissioning of critical facilities on a programmatic basis • Provide technical support and leadership for commissioning projects • Participate in MEP design reviews and functional testing of complex electrical and mechanical systems • Support all aspects of project delivery and interact with owners, designers, contractors, subcontractors, and other trades • Develop and evaluate bid proposals, commissioning plans, schedules, testing plans, and procedures • Facilitate communication and ensure compliance with owner requirements, applicable laws, specifications, guidelines, and manuals • Manage project initiation, kickoff, RFIs, submittals, resource and material forecasting, schedules, meetings, staffing, QA/QC, commissioning plans, testing, and closeout • Prepare project progress reports and lead preparation of final commissioning reports for clients • Forecast and monitor project budgets, profitability, margins, bill rates, utilization, risks, change orders, and deadlines • Prepare proposals, presentations, and marketing efforts; promote the firm’s services and expertise • Maintain client relationships, identify new projects, and ensure client satisfaction through active communication • Perform on-site inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and equipment validation for electrical and mechanical systems • Use technical testing equipment and coordinate vendors and contractors during execution • Lead complex project teams, coordinate personnel, and assist with policy and procedure development
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in commissioning, construction management, or MEP systems within mission-critical or critical-facility environments • Prior experience leading full life-cycle commissioning projects, including design review, functional testing, and project closeout • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, and staffing on complex or programmatic projects • Experience working directly with owners, designers, contractors, subcontractors, and other trades in a construction or commissioning setting • In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls system principles • Strong knowledge of commissioning, construction procedures, project management, and industry best practices • Experience with materials, methods, and tools used in mission-critical and commercial construction projects • Skilled in resource allocation, personnel management, strategic planning, and team coordination • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams; able to adapt to client/industry-specific software • Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies • Ability to work successfully in a remote environment with effective communication, organization, self-motivation, proactiveness, resourcefulness, and a distraction-free workspace • Ability to lead complex project teams and coordinate other personnel • Ability to analyze and prepare documents, reports, and correspondence • Effective oral and written communication of technical and non-technical information • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision • Ability to work under pressure, meet close deadlines, and manage multiple tasks • Must be able to rent vehicles and have a valid driver’s license • Must be located near a major airport • Must be able to travel up to 75% domestically, potentially to any or all 50 U.S. states • Must possess a valid REAL ID or acceptable alternative, such as a passport, for business air travel beginning May 7, 2025 • Must follow company and site safety requirements • Must achieve NFPA70E and/or OSHA training certification if required • Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP), or equivalent industry certification preferred • Prior supervisory or project team leadership experience preferred
