📋 Description

• Manage an assigned inventory of claims arising primarily from Personal Lines Auto, Garage keepers Liability, and Commercial Auto Liability policies • Receive claims assignments and verify and determine applicability of coverage • Determine the method and extent of investigation for each claim according to company Best Practices • Review and manage outstanding files for adequacy and timeliness of investigation, evaluation and reserve • Maintain a timely diary for each case • Evaluate and adjust claims within the adjuster's authority level • Report technical matters directly to supervisor and management • Evaluate and manage auto material damage claims, including total loss handling • Determine future course of handling and proper method of disposition • Consult with the claim manager on claims requiring assistance or exceeding assigned authority • Assess recovery potential and develop information required to pursue recovery • Participate in quarterly claim reviews • Follow claim handling requirements for special handling accounts • Equitably and promptly adjust and manage assigned claims through disposition in accordance with Best Practices • Provide superior customer service to agents, insureds, and others during the claims handling process

🎯 Requirements

• Three plus years of experience handling auto material damage claims • A current Hawaii adjuster license is required • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications • Ability to follow departmental policies, procedures, and authority levels in support of C&F’s risk management controls • A college degree is preferred • Insurance designations or related coursework are a plus
