📋 Description

• Manage accounting and finance requirements for nonprofit organization clients remotely as part of a Client Services Team • Manage client relationships comprehensively • Independently manage monthly and annual accounting engagements • Prepare, analyze, interpret, and present comprehensive financial statements to clients • Perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations • Reconcile and review investments, including tracking restricted earnings • Track and report restricted funds • Perform indirect cost allocations, including model-building • Manage grants, including grantor reporting and special audit requirements • Prepare for and manage audits, including single audits • Supervise and train accountants performing transactional work for assigned clients • Document policies and procedures for clients and Chazin services delivery • Manage cash flow and forecast modeling • Present financial information to Boards and external parties as required • Advise on, develop, and manage budgets • Support preparation and management of 990 and other local, state, and federal filings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience • A minimum of eight years of general accounting experience • Extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles • Extensive experience with data management, recordkeeping, and web-based applications • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and multiple broadly used accounting packages • Excellent communication, project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills • Experience in all phases of audit preparation • Ability to provide leadership and function well in a team-oriented virtual environment • Desire and ability to become proficient with SAGE Intacct and other third-party applications • Ability to work from home professionally and independently • Nonprofit accounting experience preferred
