📋 Description

• Provide the highest company-wide level of technical claim-handling • Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate Property, Habitability, and Environmental claims • Support insureds throughout the claims process • Work directly with agency partners and policyholders to achieve successful claim resolutions • Perform inspections of sites and properties, including roofs, basements, and attics • Perform other duties as required or assigned • Travel extensively within California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and Arizona

🎯 Requirements

• College degree or equivalent experience • Seven (7) years of claim experience, including three years’ experience in handling complex claim files • Experience in catastrophe adjusting • Advanced technical training in insurance claims such as Vale Tech or equivalent • Property Claims Law Associate designation is preferred • AIC is recommended • Knowledge of current claims laws, specifically civil and tort law and current trends in Property insurance case law and issues • Good working knowledge of mathematics and common accounting practices relating to gross and net income or living-expense calculations • Strong negotiation skills • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts and policy-contract interpretation in writing and orally • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work under pressure of critical deadlines • Ability to perform inspections of sites and properties, including roofs, basements, and attics, potentially using ladders or stairs and kneeling, crawling, or bending • Valid California Driver License and ability to operate a vehicle
