📋 Description

• Answer inbound and internal calls and provide information to callers • Access electronic alphabetical and geographical directories and transfer callers to appropriate destinations • Operate telecommunications equipment • Operate facsimile and page programming units and associated equipment • Operate page terminals and associated equipment • Navigate the QGenda on-call system to identify on-call providers • Process on-call notifications via alpha page or phone call with patient details • Assist patients with dialing instructions, placing calls, and answering questions • Expedite medical emergency and crisis intervention procedures using paging and established procedures • Process calls using telephone and messaging technology equipment • Handle inbound calls for multiple locations • Answer routine public questions about the organization using electronic databases, tools, and reference materials • Perform data entry tasks, including updating application databases, phone directories, and electronic reference materials • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent GED required • A minimum of 1 year of Call Center or telephone operator experience, or 2 years of Customer Service experience • Experience in Health Care or a related field preferred • Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts • Understanding of client/server configuration principles • Excellent knowledge of messaging technology • Project management skills • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information • In some locations, ability to move up to 10 pounds • Compliance with standard precautions and personal protective equipment requirements • Must comply with the annual influenza prevention program, including vaccination or an approved exemption • Employment offers are followed by controlled-substance testing
