📋 Description

• Operate telecommunication telephone console systems and associated equipment to coordinate essential correspondences • Receive and screen incoming and outgoing calls, determine proper routing, provide system usage information, and assist with Foundation directory inquiries • Place and record outgoing local, long-distance, and international calls for doctors and hospital personnel • Direct hospital personnel conference-call requests to the conference company • Assist patients with dialing instructions, placing calls, and answering questions • Provide overhead and long-range paging services to the FHC and outside callers • Process group alert tests twice daily • Expedite medical emergency and crisis intervention procedures using paging systems and established procedures • Assist staff with out-of-service pages by performing program changes using paging systems • Process calls using SL1 auxiliary telephone backup systems, messaging technology equipment, and alpha units • Assist personnel in contacting on-call physicians and other on-call personnel • Contact on-call physicians to provide outside callers with medical assistance and appropriate services • Operate various systems and facsimile equipment • Send domestic and international telegrams using telex format on CRT • Receive, log, and dispatch incoming telex and facsimile messages

🎯 Requirements

• Applicants must reside in Northeast Ohio • High School Diploma • A minimum of 1 year of Call Center or telephone operator experience or 2 years of Customer Service experience • Experience in Health Care or a related field (preferred) • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information • In some locations, ability to move up to 10 pounds • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required • Employment offers are followed by testing for controlled substances • Required to comply with the influenza prevention program, including annual vaccination or an approved exemption
