📋 Description

• Own the design system in Figma and design decisions determining how components look and feel across the ClickHouse ecosystem • Work directly with Click UI contributors and consumers to improve the system and drive adoption of components • Communicate designs through wireframes, prototypes, and visual mockups • Iterate quickly based on feedback • Partner with product managers and engineers as an embedded collaborator • Use AI tools to accelerate workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve code and design quality • Contribute to design feedback sessions with internal and external stakeholders • Advocate for product quality and user experience • Create design guardrails when needed

🎯 Requirements

• Strong visual design fundamentals and experience building and maintaining a design system • Proven experience designing for complex software applications, ideally in B2B SaaS or developer tools • Advanced proficiency in Figma, including components, prototyping, and design systems • Frontend engineering skills using CSS, React, and TypeScript • Comfortable working in a real codebase • Experience owning products end to end and working directly with developers and product managers • Active use of AI tools in design, engineering, workflows, or related areas • Ability to work at startup pace amid ambiguity and shifting priorities • Preferred: experience owning multi-brand design systems or the same design system across multiple tech stacks • Preferred: experience designing IDEs, data products, or other technical developer tooling • Preferred: familiarity with AI-assisted workflows, including Cursor, Copilot, Figma MCP, and v0 • Preferred: open source contributions or an active GitHub presence • Preferred: experience in a fast-moving, globally distributed startup
