📋 Description

• Perform financial planning, analysis, and budgeting for funder proposal development • Contribute to the grantmaking process by reviewing grantees’ financial positions • Develop and maintain current programmatic budgets • Coordinate with Accounting on budget-to-actual reporting • Coordinate with departments during organizational budgeting and planning • Draft incoming funder proposal budgets with Philanthropic Partnerships and Program teams • Organize budget meetings and respond to funder questions about submitted budgets • Contribute to cost recovery analyses and projections • Maintain reports related to pricing and cost recovery • Monitor interest income accrued on funding sources and recommend usage • Review and analyze monthly funding tables covering prospective and committed funding • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and analytical support • Review grantee financial documents and prepare recommendations based on financial position • Reconcile and update funding sources • Provide grants- and contracts-related assistance with the grants team • Provide additional Finance team support as needed • Report to the Senior Director of Finance

🎯 Requirements

• Four-year college degree with coursework in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience • At least seven years of professional experience, including experience in financial planning, modeling, and analysis • Highly responsible and responsive with a positive attitude • Collaborative team player within the group and across the organization • Highly organized and detail-oriented • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work with existing systems and resources while striving toward improvement • Understanding of basic nonprofit accounting • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Excel • High proficiency with other Windows products, such as Word and Outlook • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Experience with Adaptive / Workday is a plus • Nonprofit experience is a plus • Salesforce experience is a plus • Asana experience is a plus • Commitment to the mission of the ClimateWorks Foundation is a plus
