📋 Description

• Work closely with Product Managers to drive project requirements and convert them into technical designs • Produce high-fidelity design documentation and obtain architect sign-offs • Deliver high-quality code for elegant, scalable, enterprise-quality cloud-based application services • Develop software with a strong focus on security, performance, and robustness • Architect and drive cross-engineering initiatives for Cloudera Data Services applications • Build relationships and collaborate with UI engineers, quality engineers, UX designers, Product Managers, SRE, Infosec, and external partners • Hire, mentor, and lead junior engineers by example • Enhance developer productivity and team agility • Build cloud-native solutions deployable across cloud providers and private data centers • Contribute upstream to open-source technologies such as Apache Hive and Impala • Harden data engines for security, optimize performance, and support operation across environments

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building scalable applications with Golang and Java • Solid hands-on experience with microservices development, including gRPC and REST • Knowledge of object-oriented programming • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases • Experience with messaging infrastructure • At least 5 years of development and production experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other enterprise-grade private cloud platforms • Experience with Terraform • Conceptual understanding of enterprise networking for on-premise and private cloud deployments, including VLANs, load balancers, VPNs, firewalls, and datacenter networking concepts • Experience debugging connection problems • Knowledge of TLS and PKI • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Self-driven with a strong sense of ownership and craftsmanship • This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship or relocation
