• Support grantees and internal teams throughout the grants management cycle, from invitation through final closeout • Create and update contact, organization, and grant accounts and records • Track and follow up on narrative and financial reports and outstanding documentation • Determine grantee organization eligibility and support due diligence • Provide technical support to staff and grantees using the Fluxx grants management system • Assist with training staff and grantees on technology, policies, and procedures • Develop templates and tools for recurring grants management activities • Support grants management team coordination • Create dashboards and analyze grant-data reports for staff and external audiences • Coordinate with grants management team, program leads, and external partners to keep grantmaking and reporting timelines on track • Support preparation of board, committee, and strategic partnership materials • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities
• Minimum of three years professional experience, including some nonprofit experience • Strong proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Drive) • Experience with video conferencing platforms (Zoom, etc.) • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills • Strong project management skills • Experience tracking, coordinating, and helping complete complex collaborative projects • Highly collaborative with a partnership mindset • Entrepreneurial and resourceful, with proactive and creative problem-solving ability • Commitment to racial justice and equity • Experience in a philanthropic, fiscal sponsor, nonprofit intermediary, funder collaborative, or other grantmaking organization, or equivalent • Experience successfully operating in a start-up environment • Knowledge of grants management systems and processes; Fluxx preferred • Understanding of the financial and regulatory environment for nonprofit and philanthropic entities • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and perspectives • Appreciation of the diverse cultural traditions of rural people and places • Comfort working with individuals in nonprofit organizations, government, foundations, and private sectors • Working proficiency in a second language spoken in rural America • Experience living and/or working in rural America strongly preferred • Ability to work remotely from within the United States • Authorization to work in the United States
