📋 Description

• Process new and renewal insurance applications accurately and timely • Perform routine selection, evaluation and pricing of least complex risks within designated authority • Communicate with agencies on routine underwriting matters • Request underwriting and state-mandated requirements • Enter insurance application data and verify information and state compliance • Issue and assemble policies after underwriter approval • Process cancellations, declinations and policy reissues upon request • Review underwriting requirements and recommend acceptance or denial using preset procedures • Assist with training other Underwriting Technicians • Assist with special projects • Update the underwriting system

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience • Some college preferred • Typically a minimum three years of related work experience in an office environment • Knowledge of policy processing procedures and documentation • Knowledge of applicable insurance products • Good interpersonal and communication skills • Demonstrated ability to work at high levels of productivity and quality • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software
