• Design and build complex Salesforce solutions using Apex and Lightning Web Components • Produce durable technical deliverables such as architecture documentation • Write SOQL against a custom object model representing the flow of money from donor contributions through outgoing grants • Make solution trade-off decisions concerning scalability, maintainability, user experience, systems, and integrations • Translate business needs into technical specifications and solution designs across multiple systems and teams • Anticipate and prevent platform/API limits, integration failures, and data-integrity problems • Lead system security and data compliance, including sharing, permissions, and field history tracking • Evaluate, recommend, implement, and manage Salesforce features and third-party tools • Partner with the senior technical lead on the system's technical direction • Mentor team members, review technical work, and raise the team's technical bar • Help oversee user support and resolve escalated cases • Assess Salesforce platform changes, deprecations, and security requirements such as enhanced MFA • Implement and advocate for DevOps practices using Gearset and IntelliJ with Illuminated Cloud • Serve as release manager or mentor administrators in that capacity • Shape AI-enabled development workflows using the in-house Salesforce MCP • Design budget-allocation architecture and grant tagging/reporting systems • Improve and refactor the existing codebase • Maintain and improve Lightning Web Components for the Data Model Redesign project • Design integration patterns for the Partnerships function and govern external-user access • Explore a potential grantee portal on Experience Cloud
• ~5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience; likely ~7+ years at the Senior Architect level • Extensive experience in Salesforce administration and development • Strong background in solution architecture, implementations, and data migrations • Recent, substantive Lightning Web Components buildout experience • Hands-on ownership and delivery of Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components • Deep knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, limitations, and established design patterns • Experience running complex projects end-to-end in environments with significant business process complexity • Experience making architecture decisions spanning Salesforce and surrounding tools and integrations • Salesforce DevOps experience, including sandbox-to-production deployment and Gearset pipeline tooling • Ability to make major technical decisions independently while deferring appropriately and mentoring junior colleagues • Ability to drive ambitious, under-scoped work to completion and rebalance across concurrent projects • Strong stakeholder management and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Experience with or strong openness to AI-enabled workflows • Salesforce Certified Administrator (ADM-201) certification • Salesforce Platform Developer I (PD1) certification • Ability to work remotely with at least 3–4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. Eastern time • Must be able to work without visa sponsorship • Additional certifications such as Platform Developer II or architect-level certifications are desirable but not required • Third-party integration experience, especially with Airtable, Zapier, FormAssembly, Fillout, Ironclad, and BigQuery infrastructure, is desirable • Mission-driven, philanthropic, and/or nonprofit experience is desirable
