📋 Description

• Build and secure North's architecture • Develop production security features including OIDC/OAuth flows and session management • Write secure code handling OIDC tokens, user claims, and sensitive data • Apply JWT validation and encryption best practices • Implement authentication mechanisms, user login, token management, and authorization checks • Integrate new tools to enhance North's security capabilities • Design and implement secret management within Kubernetes clusters, including encryption and RBAC • Communicate security best practices clearly to stakeholders • Contribute to secure-by-design software engineering for Cohere's enterprise AI products

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building user-facing security features in production systems • Production Python development experience • Deep understanding of OIDC/OAuth 2.0, JWT validation, and token lifecycle management • Hands-on Kubernetes experience in development and production environments • Experience with GCP, AWS, Azure, or hybrid/multi-cloud deployments • Comfortable working across the stack • Ability to communicate security concepts clearly to non-security engineers and stakeholders • Ability to thrive in fast-moving environments where priorities evolve • Experience working with AI/ML systems or LLM-based applications
