📋 Description

• Preserve and improve the quality and validity of AP Statistics exams, course curriculum, and professional development content • Lead assessment development and scoring for AP Statistics • Author, revise, manage, and review formative and summative assessment content and scoring materials • Leverage generative AI to author and review assessment content and improve assessment processes • Develop AP Statistics assessment forms aligned with approved curricula and test specifications • Lead face-to-face, weekend, and virtual meetings with the AP Statistics Test Development Committee • Train and supervise committee members and recruit educators for AP Program opportunities • Lead annual in-person and online AP Reading scoring events and produce related publications • Monitor exam validity, security, reliability, fairness, quality, and reader reliability • Collaborate with psychometricians to establish fair, reliable, and valid cut scores • Refine and improve the AP Statistics Course Framework • Support new AP Statistics products, prototypes, market testing, and development models • Engage with educators to drive teacher satisfaction with AP Statistics and its exam • Collaborate with Professional Learning teams to support AP Statistics consultants and teachers • Partner with Higher Education teams to raise college and university awareness of AP Statistics • Recruit college faculty for AP Reading and support AP Faculty Colloquia and Fellows Programs • Present, speak, and moderate dialogue with academic and membership audiences as needed

🎯 Requirements

• Master’s degree in Statistics or a directly related discipline (required) • Knowledge of current trends in Statistics • Doctorate in the discipline strongly preferred • Expertise in Statistics • At least 5 years of experience in standardized assessment development or related work • Experience with digital assessment and teaching preferred • Strong oral and written communication skills • Solid technical proficiency • Customer-focused mindset • Excellent organizational and planning skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain close attention to detail, including proofreading • Ability to implement processes and procedures, manage project plans and schedules, and maintain tracking documentation • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills • Ability to work effectively across all levels and engage in constructive feedback • Ability to travel 6–8 times per year, plus up to two additional weeks for the AP Reading • Must be eligible and authorized to work in the United States • Curiosity and willingness to adopt AI-driven solutions and new digital tools • Learner’s mindset and commitment to growth • Ability to make data-informed decisions and solve complex problems • Collaborative and empathetic approach
