📋 Description

• Lead current-year AP volume forecasting, judging whether registration shifts represent real risk or noise • Diagnose forecast-shift drivers using stakeholder context and historical data • Communicate findings and prescribed responses to stakeholders • Document forecasting assumptions, inputs, and cycle changes • Develop and refine future-year AP volume projection models using school-level data • Apply and test AI/ML forecasting techniques to improve accuracy and extend the forecast horizon • Manage forecast risk across constituent groups and determine when to hold or revise projections • Lay groundwork connecting volume projections to AP's 2040 participation goal • Scope, execute, and interpret statistical analyses on supply and demand issues affecting AP • Translate analytical findings into recommendations for division leadership on AP participation and success gaps • Identify and prioritize analytic infrastructure gaps • Close data gaps through improved use of existing data, additional data sourcing, and cross-team partnerships • Balance proactive gap-closing work with emergent ad hoc analytic requests • Mentor junior staff and advise senior colleagues on forecasting and statistical questions

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in forecasting, statistical modeling, or a similar analytically grounded role • Expertise in strategy and analysis • Track record applying statistical and forecasting methods to real-world business or policy problems • Fluency in data interpretation and visualization • Critical thinking and ability to distill complex information into clear, compelling narratives • Experience with AI/ML techniques for forecasting or predictive modeling • Ability to advise senior colleagues on forecasting and statistical questions • Ability to mentor junior staff • Sound judgment managing risk and ambiguity across stakeholder groups • Exceptional communication skills across formats and audiences • Bachelor's degree required • Ability to travel 3–5 times a year to College Board offices or for College Board business • Authorization to work in the United States for any employer • Passion for expanding educational and career opportunities and mission-driven work • Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies and willingness to adopt AI-driven solutions • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills • Learner's mindset and commitment to growth • Drive for impact and excellence • Collaborative and empathetic approach
