• Operationalize the information security governance and risk vision • Oversee Security Policy, Security Awareness, Business Continuity, Vendor Risk Management, and the Information Security Risk Register • Maintain, update, communicate, and operationalize security policies and standards • Oversee security awareness training, targeted campaigns, and effectiveness metrics • Coordinate Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery governance, BIAs, plan updates, testing, and remediation • Maintain an accurate and actionable Information Security Risk Register • Oversee third-party risk assessments, SOC 2 reviews, control analysis, and risk evaluation • Coordinate Vendor Risk Management with Procurement and business stakeholders • Identify and prioritize automation and AI Agent opportunities for Governance and Risk processes • Implement tooling and workflow improvements such as OneTrust and KnowBe4 • Establish and monitor KPIs/KRIs and drive scalable process improvements • Lead a team of four through vision-setting, goal management, coaching, and support • Review Data Security language in procurement contracts and security requirements in RFPs • Develop risk language for state contracts • Collaborate with Legal, Procurement, Information Security, Privacy, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders • Explain security risks, audit findings, and control gaps to technical audiences and senior leadership
• 8–10+ years of progressive experience leading Governance and Risk functions • CRISC certification required • Bachelor's degree required • Advanced degree preferred • Practical knowledge of Security Policy, Security Awareness, Business Continuity, Vendor Risk Management, and Information Security Issue Management • Experience working across technical and non-technical teams, including Legal, Procurement, Information Security, Privacy, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Strong planning, prioritization, and execution skills • Strategic and inclusive leadership style • Proven ability to drive performance and growth • Curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging technologies and AI-driven solutions • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills • Learner's mindset and commitment to growth • Ability to travel 3–4 times a year • Authorization to work in the United States
