📋 Description

• Build, train, and validate machine learning models for clinical and operational data products • Perform data ingestion, feature engineering, and model evaluation • Contribute to productionizing ML and AI models into APIs, batch, and streaming workflows • Support AI/LLM workflows for document extraction, classification, and summarization • Assist with RAG components, embedding strategies, and vector-based retrieval • Apply MLOps practices including CI/CD, model versioning, and retraining workflows • Use Databricks and AWS services including S3, Lambda, and Bedrock for training and inference • Monitor deployed model performance and troubleshoot issues • Maintain model monitoring, alerting, and observability tooling • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers • Follow HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, FedRAMP Moderate, and other applicable compliance practices • Implement encryption, access controls, and secure handling of sensitive healthcare data • Evaluate emerging AI/ML tools and techniques • Document model development, testing, and validation for reproducibility and audit readiness

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field • 3–5 years of experience in machine learning engineering, data science, or software engineering • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL • Experience building production-grade systems • Practical experience with Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch • Experience deploying machine learning models to production environments • Exposure to AWS Bedrock, Anthropic, LangChain, or Databricks Agent frameworks • Familiarity with PySpark, Databricks, or AWS EMR • Experience with MLflow, model registries, and monitoring frameworks • Experience building APIs or services such as FastAPI or Flask • Solid understanding of software engineering principles applied to ML workflows • Experience with healthcare datasets such as EHRs, claims, FHIR, or HL7 • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Preferred: exposure to vector databases, embeddings, or RAG components • Preferred: experience with OCR/document AI tools such as AWS Textract or DBX OCR • Preferred: experience with Docker or Kubernetes • Preferred: familiarity with NIST or HITRUST • Preferred: experience supporting CMS, VA, or DoD programs • Preferred: knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, quality measurement programs, or policy frameworks • Ability to sit, read, work on a computer, and watch a computer screen for extended periods • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, use hands and fingers, kneel, or crouch
