• Turn free-user momentum inside schools into sales-ready leads for CommonLit’s Sales team • Generate leads through outbound strategies targeting schools and districts unfamiliar with CommonLit • Build and maintain lead-generation infrastructure across web, email, and paid channels • Own lead-generation strategy across web, email, paid social, and Google Ads, including building, QA’ing, monitoring, and reporting • Co-own in-product lead generation with the Product Marketer and Revenue Operations Specialist • Manage portions of the marketing technology stack, including the CommonLit blog platform and Webflow • Collaborate on lead-generation pushes through blog, newsletter, and conference activities • Use district usage profiles to develop targeted regional outreach, state pages, and referral strategies • Design usage-based campaigns tied to teacher and district adoption signals • Establish CommonLit’s AEO/SEO strategy for traditional search and AI-powered answer engines • Develop competitor-facing pages and email campaigns using competitor intelligence • Partner cross-functionally with marketing and revenue operations teams on conversion campaigns, testimonials, HubSpot infrastructure, and lead workflows • Set lead targets and report on leads generated by channel • Report on web, email, social, Google Ads, organic search, AI-search visibility, keyword rankings, and answer-engine citations • Test new channels and approaches, retiring underperforming initiatives • Complete additional projects as determined by the team
• Bachelor’s degree required • 4–7 years of experience in growth marketing, demand generation, or performance marketing required • Must be US-based • Hands-on fluency with HubSpot or a comparable marketing automation/CRM platform • Hands-on fluency with Google Ads, LinkedIn, Reddit, and other ad platforms • Hands-on fluency with Webflow or a comparable web page building platform • Hands-on fluency with PostHog and Looker or comparable analytics platforms • Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals • Comfortable using or learning Salesforce, Notion, Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, and similar collaboration tools • Comfortable building and interpreting spreadsheet reports, including data exports from usage and CRM platforms • Experience turning product usage signals into pipeline highly preferred • Experience building competitor-facing content preferred • Experience with LLMs preferred; experience using Claude highly preferred • Introductory knowledge of AEO fundamentals preferred • Alignment with CommonLit’s mission • Comfortable using data to identify conversion signals and build campaigns • Builder’s mindset for establishing new motions such as regional outreach, AEO, and competitor strategy • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a bias toward action • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and assist with other projects • Eagerness to problem-solve and find creative solutions • Strong attention to detail and desire for feedback • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Strategic systems-level thinking, self-starting ability, time management, and organizational skills • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills • Strong communication and collaboration skills • Prolonged periods in a stationary position at a desk and working on a computer
