đź“‹ Description

• Lead post-award administration of a portfolio of federal, state, foundation, and corporate grants and contracts • Maintain an accurate inventory of active grants, contracts, cooperative agreements, and subgrants • Review executed agreements and document, communicate, and monitor financial, programmatic, and compliance requirements • Coordinate post-award handoffs among Advancement, Programs, Finance, and other departments • Coordinate amendments, budget modifications, no-cost extensions, renewals, and closeouts while maintaining documentation and audit trails • Monitor grant budgets, spending, revenue, expenditures, balances, commitments, anticipated spending, and staffing allocations • Review each grant or contract with finance, revenue, and program leaders at least monthly • Monitor budget-to-actual performance and identify financial risks and variances • Prepare or coordinate financial reports, invoices, reimbursement requests, and other funder submissions • Support revenue recognition, forecasting, cash-flow planning, reconciliations, and financial reporting • Support annual audits, Single Audits, funder audits, NICRA calculation, and monitoring reviews • Administer and oversee subgrants, subawards, and partner agreements • Ensure subgrant agreements are developed, reviewed, approved, and executed before work or payments begin • Maintain a comprehensive subgrant tracker covering partners, awards, terms, deliverables, reporting, payments, budgets, and compliance • Monitor partner performance and expenditures against deliverables and approved budgets • Support subrecipient risk assessment, particularly for federally funded awards • Escalate delinquent reporting, performance concerns, and subrecipient risks • Coordinate timely closeout of subgrants and partner agreements • Develop, maintain, and distribute an organization-wide grants, contracts, and subgrants dashboard • Provide portfolio reporting to the Director of Accounting and Finance and periodic executive-level reporting to senior leadership • Identify, communicate, and escalate financial, compliance, contractual, and programmatic risks • Maintain knowledge of applicable grant requirements, including 2 CFR Part 200 and subrecipient monitoring requirements • Ensure appropriate financial and programmatic documentation is maintained • Support development and implementation of grants-management policies, procedures, internal controls, and standard operating procedures • Identify opportunities to strengthen controls and reduce risk

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in grants management, grants administration, sponsored programs, nonprofit finance, contracts management, or a closely related field • Experience administering and monitoring federal, state, and private grants and contracts • Strong knowledge of post-award grants management, including budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, deliverables tracking, renewals, amendments, and closeout • Experience administering and monitoring subgrants, subawards, subrecipients, and partner agreements • Working knowledge of federal grant requirements, including 2 CFR Part 200 (Uniform Guidance) and applicable subrecipient monitoring requirements • Strong financial and analytical skills, including experience reviewing grant budgets, expenditures, forecasts, and budget-to-actual results • Experience preparing or coordinating funder reports, invoices, reimbursement requests, and other required grant submissions • Experience developing and maintaining grant-management dashboards, trackers, calendars, and reporting tools • Ability to manage multiple grants, deadlines, reporting requirements, contracts, and stakeholders simultaneously • Strong project-management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to identify, communicate, and appropriately escalate financial, compliance, contractual, and programmatic risks • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field is preferred • Candidates without a degree who bring 8-10 years of substantial, directly relevant grants-management experience will be strongly considered • MBA and/or CPA designation is a plus • Supervisory experience preferred • Experience managing a complex portfolio of federal, state, and private grants and contracts preferred • Experience supporting federal audits, Single Audits, funder monitoring reviews, or similar compliance activities preferred • Experience working in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization with multiple funding sources preferred • Experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, or comparable CRM, grants-management, and financial systems preferred • Advanced Excel skills and experience developing dashboards and management reporting preferred
