• Build and manage a pipeline of ambulatory surgery center partnership opportunities across existing and new markets • Develop outreach plans targeting physician groups, health systems, and referral sources • Identify and prioritize new market opportunities through data-driven analysis • Represent Compass in the marketplace and strengthen its reputation as a preferred partner • Establish relationships with physician owners, practice leaders, hospital executives, governing boards, and other stakeholders • Lead consultative discussions and presentations communicating Compass’s value proposition, investment philosophy, and operating model • Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the partnership lifecycle • Originate, structure, negotiate, and close complex joint venture opportunities • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders throughout transactions • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Operations, Clinical, and Executive Leadership • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support expansion • Build local market presence through travel, physician meetings, health system engagement, and industry networking • Provide executive leadership with market intelligence, pipeline insights, and strategic recommendations • Manage multiple transactions and maintain pipeline reporting and forecasting • Support transition from signed agreements through implementation • Share market insights and customer feedback influencing enterprise strategy
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in corporate development, business development, healthcare strategy, mergers and acquisitions, or transaction leadership • Experience preferably within ambulatory surgery centers, physician practices, hospitals, or broader healthcare services • Proven success originating, structuring, negotiating, and closing complex healthcare partnerships, joint ventures, acquisitions, or strategic transactions • Experience building relationships with physician owners, health system executives, governing boards, and senior business leaders • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills • Experience leading consultative sales and transaction processes involving multiple stakeholders • Strong understanding of ASC operations, physician practice dynamics, healthcare finance, and transaction economics • Strong financial and business acumen, including evaluating partnership economics and market opportunities • Ability to maintain momentum through long, complex business development cycles • Ability to influence across functions while operating independently • Bachelor's degree required • Prior private equity-backed healthcare experience and an established ASC industry network strongly preferred • Must be eligible to work in the United States • Willingness and ability to travel regularly
