The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Work remotely within Florida in conjunction with the Manager of School Counseling and School Leadership Team • Virtually assist students and parents/learning coaches with course selection and scheduling • Serve as the initial point of contact for student concerns spanning multiple subject areas and non-academic issues • Establish counseling processes for middle and high school students • Advise students and families on academics, career planning, graduation, course changes, and scheduling • Communicate high school graduation requirements to the High School Coordinator and principal • Assist with secondary course selection and four-year graduation plans • Review student transcripts and maintain accurate online transcript records • Obtain and forward student records with administrative assistants • Implement programs addressing interpersonal adjustment issues • Help families access school and community resources • Participate in crisis prevention and management planning and serve on the Student Support Team • Coordinate middle and high school teachers to identify at-risk or in-crisis students • Act as primary contact for at-risk or in-crisis students and families • Oversee each student's Personal Learning Plan • Secure complete and accurate student records • Support the school withdrawal process and withdrawal data collection • Report and refer critical incidents and maintain knowledge of state reporting regulations • Assist teachers with mid-semester enrollments and integration into coursework • Coordinate with the Curriculum Team to ensure offerings meet state requirements • Implement SAT, ACT, and college entrance support programs • Support understanding of high school testing, including CLT, PSAT, SAT, and ACT • Help students research post-secondary career and education options • Assist with college and job applications • Educate students and parents about college admissions requirements and financial aid • Support professional development activities • Participate in high school graduation ceremonies • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years school counseling and management/leadership experience • Florida Professional Teacher Certification in School Counseling • Strong knowledge of Florida graduation requirements and school accountability framework • Technologically proficient, especially with Microsoft Office and Google products • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Customer-focused approach • High degree of flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced virtual environment • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting • Ability to work and manage a team remotely • Travel across the state required for state testing administration, which may include overnight travel • Willingness to work occasional evening hours as needed • Must be able to use a personal electronic device and email address for two-step authentication • ESOL Endorsement or Certification preferred
