Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Manage teachers delivering the home-based instructional program through phone and internet consultations with parents and students • Oversee overall elementary and middle school operations • Implement the Connections Academy curriculum and school operation protocols • Ensure teacher professionalism, instructional support, and customer service • Support individual student academic success and communicate with parents about program information and student needs • Implement and monitor the school improvement plan and annual school goals • Assist teaching staff with program changes and new software applications • Participate in parent outreach through statewide informational meetings and virtual meetings • Handle student problems escalated by parents and teachers • Support and coordinate state standardized testing and student participation • Serve as hiring manager for elementary instructional positions • Support families needing additional assistance • Participate in student recruitment, in-state trips, presentations, Q&A sessions, and press responses • Build school community through in-person statewide field trips and virtual activities • Supervise and evaluate elementary and middle school staff • Contribute to best practices for distance education • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Arkansas Administrative credential required • Minimum of 5 years administrative or management experience • Strong leadership qualities and commitment to goal-directed management and accountability • Interest in advancing educational delivery through technology • Advanced degree preferred • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Overnight travel required for state testing, information sessions, and meetings • Customer-focused approach • High degree of flexibility, attention to detail, and organizational skills • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment • Team player • Technological proficiency, especially Internet and Microsoft Office products • 2-step authentication required to access systems after receiving a job offer
