Connections Academy is a tuition-free, accredited K–12 online public school program operated by Connections Education (a Pearson division). It delivers state-aligned curriculum and virtual classroom experiences with certified teachers, personalized learning, and support for families serving as learning coaches. The program offers grade-level courses, college and career readiness, clubs and socialization opportunities, and technology support across multiple U. S. states.

📋 Description

• Virtually manage instructional programs from a home office within Oregon • Support the instructional program through asynchronous web conferencing and synchronous instruction • Complete grading, create progress reports, and conduct parent conferences • Communicate with parents, students, teachers, curriculum specialists, and staff learning specialists • Develop and update Personal Learning Plans and schedules • Score assessments, provide feedback, suggest instructional strategies, monitor assignments, and coach special projects • Develop broad knowledge of the K–12 curriculum and detailed knowledge of assigned courses • Review curriculum and devise alternate lesson approaches • Provide additional assistance with daily assignments and projects • Collaborate with teachers to support student progress and coordinate responsibilities • Maintain current student records, cumulative files, online information, attendance accounting, and contact logs • Develop enrichment activities and program modifications • Work with Advisory Teachers and School Counselors to support communications, progress, and goals • Coordinate social activities and relevant field trips • Manage regional field trips and integrate them into the curriculum • Create and maintain a virtual school community • Participate in state testing organization and administration • Participate in student recruiting sessions and marketing efforts requiring teacher representation • Attend field trips and family community activities • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Highly qualified and certified to teach high school math in Oregon • Multiple Oregon endorsements strongly preferred • Oregon ESL/ELL endorsement strongly preferred • Out-of-state applicants considered; Oregon residents preferred • Strong technology skills, especially Microsoft Office and Google Suite • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Highly organized and punctual • Customer-focused approach • High degree of flexibility • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced environment • Team-player track record • Willingness to travel for marketing and state testing events, potentially including occasional overnight travel • Ability to work occasional evening hours as needed to support families • Ability to use a personal electronic device and email address for two-step authentication
