📋 Description

• Lead, supervise, and develop a team of accountants supporting month-end close, financial statements, analysis, and general accounting functions. • Delegate work assignments, establish priorities, and manage team workloads to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality standards. • Conduct performance evaluations, establish goals, and hold team members accountable for individual and departmental objectives. • Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures. • Serve as a technical accounting resource on complex accounting issues, reconciliations, and financial analysis. • Execute or oversee special projects and process improvements, particularly complex reconciliations and related tasks. • Seek and share knowledge to implement best practices and enhance team productivity. • Drive continuous process improvement by identifying inefficiencies, implementing solutions, and promoting best practices. • Respond to management inquiries about financial results and special reporting requests. • Partner with the Accounting Manager, Controller, and cross-functional teams to resolve issues, improve workflows, and support business objectives. • Mentor and provide leadership to attract, develop, and retain team talent. • Monitor team member performance and recommend or ensure on-the-job and formal development opportunities. • Foster a positive, collaborative team culture promoting accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. • Perform accounting duties in an office environment using computers, telephones, and other office equipment.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required. • Minimum of five years of previous accounting experience with strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close processes required. • Minimum of three years of direct leadership or supervisory experience, including coaching, performance management, and employee development. • Workday experience preferred, but not required. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, interpret, and resolve complex accounting issues. • Proficiency in Advanced Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools. • Strong attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skills. • Self-motivated individual, committed to continuous improvement and team success. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with the accounting team and management. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and willingness to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed to meet job requirements. • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and time management abilities. • If working remote, employee must provide their own reliable internet. • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. • Consumer Direct Care Network does not provide visa sponsorship or STEM OPT extensions.
