📋 Description

• Oversee the daily accounting operations of the company. • Produce monthly financial statements. • Maintain an adequate system of accounting records. • Maintain comprehensive controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of reported financial results, and ensure compliance with GAAP. • Prepare accurate and timely GAAP-compliant financial statements. • Own the monthly close process, including reconciliations and supporting schedules. • Oversee account reconciliations. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings. • Own the successful execution of the external audit. • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations. • Maintain and strengthen internal accounting controls. • Mentor and support a team of 7, fostering continuous improvement. • Report to the Chief Financial Officer.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. • CPA or similar certification required. • Proven experience as a Controller. • Experience at a major accounting firm (e.g., Big 4, Grant Thornton, BDO) a plus. • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial processes (monthly close, reporting etc.). • Experience with an exit transaction and acquisition integration a plus. • Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems. • Experience with Intacct a plus. • Experience with utilizing AI to drive efficiencies. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
