📋 Description

• Provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for four or more specialties for one or more clients or facilities • Code Professional Fee, Facility, or HCC cases, including potential inpatient coding • Calculate ProFee and/or Facility E/M levels using the company algorithm • Recognize critical care cases based on patient acuity • Code surgical procedures typical of an ER setting to capture additional revenue when appropriate • Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes to the highest available specificity • Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT®, and HCPCS codes • Interpret coding guidelines for accurate code assignment • Identify the documentation impact on code assignment and reimbursement • Maintain quality and productivity standards • Communicate professionally with clients to support business relationships • Assist Leadership or Lead Coding Specialist with reports as needed • Potentially assist with auditing • Follow AHIMA Standards of Ethical Coding, the Company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and the Ethics and Compliance Program • Comply with internal policies and procedures • Participate in company-provided training and education • Protect confidential information and Personal Health Information • Perform other duties assigned by Leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Must be certified through either AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) • Minimum of 2 years of experience • Advanced working knowledge and experience with EMR and billing systems • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook • Ability to perform basic Excel formulas and create a basic pivot table • Ability to manage emails and schedule and attend meetings in Outlook • Current CPT and ICD-10-CM coding references • Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance • Maintain ongoing productivity and accuracy of 95% or higher • Maintain ongoing quality score of 95% or higher • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally verbally and in writing • Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines • Ability to work from home independently • Ability to work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day • Ability to lift and move material weighing up to 20 lbs. infrequently
