📋 Description

• Build value-oriented, production-level machine learning solutions for healthcare technology • Deliver solutions helping clients identify payment integrity issues, reduce healthcare process costs, and improve healthcare quality and outcomes • Create actionable and pragmatic data science models with minimal supervision • Understand business needs and identify potential use cases across more than one business unit • Work with external partners to develop minimal viable products and resolve issues • Collaborate with data scientists, business partners, project managers, cross-functional teams, stakeholders, R&D, Operations, and product management • Stay current with developments in machine learning and the healthcare industry • Assess the potential value and risks of business problems addressable with machine learning and AI • Develop exploratory data analysis approaches to verify hypotheses for AI/ML use cases • Document approaches, thinking, and results using standard methods • Prepare trained models and validation test sets for QA • Work with production operations to deploy models and support performance monitoring • Support other data science teams and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions • Participate in design sessions to improve the Cotiviti machine learning platform • Provide end-to-end value-based solutions including data pipelines, model creation, and end-user applications • Complete performance-review responsibilities, special projects, and assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• MS or PhD degree in a relevant discipline (Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or Health Sciences), or commensurate professional work experience • 1-3 years experience building and deploying Machine learning models • 1-3 years experience working in Big Data environments • Experience developing machine learning models in an exploratory data analytics environment and working with others to develop production-ready versions • Experience using machine learning tools including Python, TensorFlow, Keraes, pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, spark, scala, hive, and impala • Ability to write SQL queries to efficiently extract data from relational databases • Must have implemented machine learning solutions within production environments at scale • Ability to manage and analyze data in a Big Data environment using Scala/Spark, Python, and cloud-based ML/AI capabilities • Ability to apply statistical methodology to solve business problems and interpret results • Understanding of health insurance, managed care, industry coding/policy standards, claim adjudication, and fraud, waste and abuse • Ability to understand, generate and evaluate healthcare utilization, unit cost and medical cost trends • Ability to work with, understand and create object-oriented/functional programming solutions using modern application frameworks • Ability to work independently and collaborate as a team • Flexibility to work with global teams and geographically dispersed US-based teams • Ability to properly handle confidential information • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines • Ability to work within a matrixed organization • Proficiency in all required skills and competencies • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/connectivity and office setup and maintenance • Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
