📋 Description

• Manage three CDC-funded projects: Prediabetes Health Marketing; Diabetes Prevention Support for Tribes; and Diabetes Technical Assistance for Good Health and Wellness in Indian Country recipients • Guide planning and implementation of project-related activities • Coordinate project teams and sustain relationships with partners • Manage day-to-day operations across all projects • Support presentations and meeting collateral for the Diabetes Council • Support Diabetes Portfolio listservs and communications activities using platforms such as MailChimp • Manage contractual processes and ensure subject matter experts and vendors fulfill scopes of work • Manage budgets, contract submissions, and project-related expenditures • Coordinate program planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting • Create timelines and ensure completion of workplan activities • Inform the Director of project progress through meetings, reports, and communications • Lead required internal and CDC reporting • Facilitate project meetings and trainings, including agendas, meeting leadership, summaries, and follow-up • Develop and disseminate state-level requests for applications to identify project partners • Identify cross-program collaboration and resource-sharing opportunities • Measure and communicate project impact • Collaborate with evaluators, the Evaluation Department, Communications Department, Diabetes Portfolio, CAHC, and NACDD teams • Represent NACDD professionally and perform other duties needed to achieve organizational goals

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Sociology, Public Health or other health-related fields • Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant experience in planning, implementing/leading, and convening chronic disease prevention and/or management or health promotion programs • Experience working with CDC or other federal agencies on programs related to state-level chronic disease prevention and health promotion • Experience coordinating and delivering context-specific meetings, training, and/or technical assistance • Experience managing work plans, particularly for grants/cooperative agreements • Adept at developing tools and resources; facilitating meetings, conference calls, and peer-to-peer learning and sharing opportunities; and giving presentations • Strong project management, prioritization, and planning skills, with demonstrated success producing high-quality deliverables according to established timelines and budget • Excellent multitasking, problem-solving, organizational, task-tracking, reporting, and budget management skills • Ability to work independently and incorporate feedback • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and partnerships with stakeholders and manage a team • Ability to facilitate virtual or in-person meetings and communicate effectively with staff, consultants, vendors, team members, senior management, the Board, and internal and external partners • Experience building actionable consensus across varied partners and interests • Superior oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail • Experience with grant writing and management • Ability to establish and maintain professional credibility and diplomacy • Resilient, flexible, and innovative • High proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • High proficiency with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom or Teams and project management platforms such as Smartsheet • Commitment to a respectful and supportive work environment • Available to travel as needed, with occasional travel up to 10% • Must be located in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, or Washington • Master's degree in Public Health, Public Health Administration, or related field preferred • Preferred experience in association/nonprofit organizations, state/county/local health departments, diabetes programs, tribal organizations, communications, or marketing • Cover letter required
