📋 Description

• Host a live, one-hour workshop on a monthly basis • Answer student questions about construction estimating and the job search • Share real-world insight into entry-level estimating roles • Explain estimating in real construction environments, including GCs, subcontractors, and specialty trades • Discuss common tools, workflows, and expectations • Provide optional 1:1 coaching to students who request it • Support students transitioning into construction estimating careers

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional construction estimating experience • Experience estimating for GCs, subcontractors, or specialty trades such as concrete, electrical, mechanical, or roofing • Familiarity with Excel, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar software • Strong understanding of entry-level roles such as Estimating Assistant, Junior Estimator, or Project Coordinator • Interest in mentoring and helping career changers • Strong communication and teaching ability • Availability at least three evenings per week, ideally Tuesday–Thursday • Comfortable leading workshops independently • No college degree or prior experience is required by CourseCareers generally, but the role specifically requires construction estimating experience
