📋 Description

• Conduct on-site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients within an assigned territory • Locate, start, move, inspect, and safely return vehicles on dealer client lots • Verify vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; enter data accurately • Inspect and document exterior and interior vehicle condition • Perform basic mechanical checks across powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components • Identify and document damage, missing components, or inoperable features • Build trust with dealer clients and educate them on Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services • Proactively engage dealers to increase inspection volume and participation • Use data and partner input to maximize inspection efficiency and territory productivity • Adapt to changes in appointments and schedules to ensure dealer coverage • Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports • Use Salesforce.com for reporting, lead management, and customer performance tracking • Collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, peers, and other Manheim teams • Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean process enhancement • Maintain production expectations and follow safety, health, and Manheim inspection standards • Participate in Safety Excellence initiatives and comply with the NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy • Senior-level inspectors perform advanced inspections, mentor peers, and support onboarding and development

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required for Mobile Inspector – Level 1 • For Level 2: High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience in a related field; alternatively, any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED or 5 years’ experience in a related field • For Senior Level: High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years’ experience in a related field; alternatively, any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience, or 7 years’ experience in a related field • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required • Ability to meet physical and mental demands of the role within required timeframes • Previous vehicle inspection experience required for Senior Level • Strong automotive knowledge (body and mechanical) required for Senior Level • Pre-employment drug test required; no marijuana testing currently administered • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship • No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship now or in future • Minimal automotive knowledge preferred for Level 1 • 0–1 years of automotive-related experience preferred for Level 1 • 1–2 years of automotive-related experience preferred for Level 2 • 2–3 years of automotive-related experience strongly preferred for Senior Level • 1 year of service with Manheim Inspections recommended for Senior Level
