• Identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights in data and communicate findings and recommendations • Collect and analyze data on internal and external marketing campaigns, including on-air promotions, social media, email, podcasts, and advertisements • Ensure data is available, complete, consistent, and in formats needed for analysis and strategy development • Support development and maintenance of analytics tracking for website features and functionality • Work with the Director, Data Strategy and Audience Insights to determine research and data needs and collection and analysis methods • Establish consistent processes and standards for data collection and cleansing • Collect, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources • Clean and transform data in Microsoft Excel and other tools to support analysis of large data sets • Communicate project scope, timelines, progress, and key findings with the Digital Services Bureau • Coordinate with PBS and NPR partners, vendors, and data providers such as Nielsen, Triton, and mobile app developers • Identify critical data issues and facilitate resolution • Maintain methodology documentation and source mapping and assist in developing data workflows • Provide quarterly, monthly, and ad hoc tracking, dashboards, and reporting • Translate data into Looker Studio dashboards to visualize trends and insights
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field from an accredited university OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience • One to three (1 to 3) years of direct and sustained relevant experience working with data, analytics, research, reporting, or digital media is preferred • Knowledge of basic data administration and management functions, including collection, analysis, and reporting • Knowledge of databases, CRM systems, or customer data platforms • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including large data sets, formulas, pivot tables, and data cleaning • Knowledge of Looker Studio and Google Analytics, or similar analytics and reporting tools • Experience analyzing digital or media-related data; broadcast media data experience helpful but not required • Experience with tools or data sources such as Nielsen, Triton, or Brightcove is a plus, but not required • Strong attention to detail, scheduling, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills • Clear written and verbal communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work with data in different formats and support teams with data analysis and reporting • Ability to apply analytical thinking and practical problem-solving skills • Ability to ask questions, clarify needs, and work effectively when requirements are not fully defined • Ability to develop an understanding of and interest in public media and Connecticut Public’s mission • Ability to take initiative, manage priorities, and follow through on assigned work • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate data findings to colleagues with different levels of technical experience • Must be able to remain at a desk/computer workstation for prolonged periods • Must have close visual acuity for preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading • Light work capability, exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally
• Almost fully remote work arrangement • Monday through Friday schedule, typically 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. • Evening and weekend support may be necessary
