• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve moderately complex commercial general liability construction defect claims • Review policy coverage and determine exposure based on contract terms and legal precedents • Negotiate settlements with claimants, attorneys, and third-party representatives • Update internal systems and maintain complete claim-file documentation • Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and finance teams on alignment and risk mitigation • Identify and escalate potential fraud or litigation risks • Maintain open communication and explain coverage decisions to deliver quality customer service
• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience • 3–5 years of experience handling insurance claims within the property and casualty or specialty lines industry • Experience interpreting policy language and conducting coverage analysis • Experience managing claim negotiations • State adjuster license where required or ability to obtain within specified timeframe • Strong analytical and investigative skills • Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications • Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution abilities • Knowledge of state insurance regulations and legal compliance requirements • English language fluency required
