📋 Description

• Own end-to-end machine learning systems, including scoping, feature engineering, model development, backtesting/validation, deployment, monitoring/alerting, retraining cadence, and reliability improvements • Create and maintain production-safe evaluation infrastructure, including automated backtests, error decomposition, uncertainty quantification, data validation, regression gates, and auditable model/version lineage • Build AI-assisted and agentic development workflows, such as Claude Code, with human review and measurable quality gates • Define success metrics tied to business outcomes and communicate assumptions, limitations, and risks to stakeholders • Write production-quality, testable code and support reproducible workflows • Partner across functions to translate business needs into a prioritized technical roadmap and measurable impact • Build and improve forecasts across time horizons and business segments, including demand, inventory, supply chain, and resource allocation • Productize forecast outputs with clear definitions, assumptions, versioned releases, and reporting on changes and uncertainty • Apply feature engineering, uncertainty quantification and calibration, and hierarchical/segmented forecasting where appropriate • Partner with operations, supply chain, inventory, finance, and marketing leaders

🎯 Requirements

• Senior level: 5+ years in applied ML/data science, including owning models in production • Strong forecasting expertise in time-series methods, feature engineering, and rigorous backtesting, or deep expertise in Bayesian statistical methods and probabilistic programming • Strong statistics fundamentals and comfort with probabilistic forecasting and explaining uncertainty • Strong Python or R and SQL; production-quality, testable coding • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration with non-technical stakeholders • Experience using AI-assisted development workflows responsibly, including verification loops, reproducibility, and automated checks • Staff level: 8+ years in applied ML/data science, or PhD with 3+ years of applied experience • Staff-level experience building end-to-end ML systems, including backtesting frameworks, scheduled retraining, monitoring/alerting, and automated reporting • Ability to inherit complex systems and make sound architectural decisions with high autonomy • Technical leadership and mentoring experience • Candidates advancing to the first interview must show photo ID on camera • Resume and cover letter required
