📋 Description

• Gather project information and requirements and set priorities • Perform quantity takeoffs and production estimates • Evaluate and interpret construction drawings • Prepare construction budgets from plans, specifications, and projected costs • Evaluate purchase offers and cost changes, additions, and site requirements • Obtain and negotiate bids from vendors and subcontractors • Maintain cost keys and price masters • Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information • Prepare special reports and summarize information and trends • Follow organizational quality standards • Document and communicate actions, irregularities, and continuing needs across work teams • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional societies • Coordinate with Project Management on proposals • Coordinate with Construction Management on production rates, schedule milestones, and job sequence • Contribute to related team efforts

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience; 8+ years preferred • Concrete estimating experience required • Quality-focused • Tilt-up and commercial flatwork experience preferred • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • Strong budget and documentation skills • Vendor relationship management experience • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe • Working knowledge of construction scheduling • Ability to develop and manage teams • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues and make strong decisions • Current driver’s license • Travel less than 25%, with potential travel to meetings and job sites as needed • Must pass physical exam • Must be a US Citizen
