• Provide technical knowledge and advance AECOM’s excellence in conveyance infrastructure, treatment, remediation, and construction • Contribute to complex water, wastewater, stormwater, and infrastructure systems • Work with project teams, clients, and leadership • Represent AECOM in pursuits, industry organizations, standards-development initiatives, and technical forums • Use company estimating systems and processes • Analyze estimates to predict key project issues • Participate in management strategy and plan development • Evaluate business opportunities and potential profitability • Supervise junior staff, establish goals and expectations, and document performance • Identify and develop talent and participate in staffing matters • Track action items • Resolve technical matters with contractors during negotiation and contract execution • Prepare crew build-ups and production rate determinations • Determine construction equipment selection • Develop Work Breakdown Structures • Manage estimate preparation and lead project team estimate reviews • Evaluate scope and execution plans for the basis of estimate • Prepare Estimate Plans, Bases of Estimate, and qualifications • Collect, analyze, and archive project data and develop historical documentation • Compare current project estimates with prior performance and market benchmark data • Help prepare information for Executive Review Committee presentations
• BA/BS in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field + 6 years of related experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Extensive experience leading complex estimating and constructability efforts in water and wastewater • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to clients, executive leadership, and multidisciplinary teams • Preferred: 10+ years of experience leading complex estimating and constructability efforts in water and wastewater • Exposure to complex, multidisciplinary project environments in the water and wastewater sector • Experience managing your schedule with minimum supervision • Ability to independently perform all tasks necessary to complete primary estimating and constructability elements for works • US employment authorization required; sponsorship is not available now or in the future • No relocation available
