📋 Description

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and requirements, setting priorities. • Quantity takeoffs and Production estimates. • Construction Drawing evaluation and interpretation. • Prepares construction budget by studying construction plans; updating specifications; identifying and projecting costs for each elevation. • Evaluates offers to purchase by costing changes, additions, and site requirements. • Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualified subcontractors; negotiating price. • Maintains cost keys and price masters by updating information. • Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information. • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. • Maintains quality service by following organization standards. • Maintains continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Coordinates with Project Management to develop Proposals. • Coordinates with Construction Management to develop Production Rates, Schedule milestones, and Job Sequence.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, 8+ years preferred. • Must have concrete estimating experience. • Quality focused Tilt up, commercial flatwork experience preferred. • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills. • Strong budget and documentation skills. • Vendor relationship management experience. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook plus Adobe. • Working knowledge of Construction Scheduling. • Ability to develop and manage teams. • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues, strong decision-making skills. • Possess a current drivers license. • Travel < 25%; potential travel to meetings and on site as needed. • Must pass physical exam. • Must be a US Citizen.
