📋 Description

• Audit, improve, and rebuild CrossFit’s library of existing online courses • Evaluate 13 courses and make them more engaging, effective, and current for coaches • Diagnose course strengths and weaknesses, design solutions, and build them in Articulate Rise 360 • Advise on delivery approaches for new courses by reviewing content packages • Evaluate course structure, pacing, engagement, assessment, accessibility, and learner experience • Produce findings and prioritized recommendations for each course • Identify outdated content, inconsistencies, and gaps against CrossFit methodology and brand standards • Update existing Rise 360 courses or rebuild them from scratch • Design interactions, knowledge checks, scenarios, and assessments connected to real coaching practice • Integrate video, graphics, and other media and identify new asset needs • Build accessible courses optimized for desktop and mobile • Test published courses in the learning management system for tracking, completion, and credit reporting • Review new-course content packages and recommend structure, sequencing, interactivity, media, and assessment strategy • Convert subject-matter expert content into clear, engaging online learning • Build new courses in Rise 360 • Prepare courses for translation and support localization implementation and review • Collaborate with the EDU Content team to align courses with CrossFit methodology, voice, and brand standards • Create or refine reusable templates, build standards, and style guidelines • Incorporate reviewer and stakeholder feedback through iterative review cycles • Manage timelines across multiple courses, report progress, and flag risks early

🎯 Requirements

• Five or more years of instructional design experience • Minimum three years of hands-on Articulate Rise 360 experience, within the past three years • Portfolio of live Rise 360 builds required with application • Deep grounding in adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Merrill’s Principles of Instruction, Bloom’s taxonomy) • Advanced and current, hands-on Articulate Rise 360 skills, including blocks, interactions, quizzes, Storyline blocks, and creative design within Rise’s constraints • Experience auditing and redesigning existing courses • Strong assessment design skills, including scenario-based questions and knowledge checks that measure application, not recall • Clear, practical written recommendations a non-designer can act on • Working knowledge of accessibility standards and SCORM publishing to a learning management system • Self-directed and organized, with a reliable record of meeting deadlines in a remote, part-time contract setting • Familiarity with fitness, coaching, or certification-based education is a plus; CrossFit Level 1 Certificate a plus • Experience with Articulate Storyline 360, video editing, or localization workflows is a plus
