📋 Description

• Triage, investigate, and respond to security detections across endpoint, identity, email, network, and cloud environments • Conduct tactical analysis of EDR telemetry, log sources, and forensic artifacts to determine root cause and scope of compromise • Develop targeted remediation recommendations • Investigate suspicious Microsoft 365 activity, including BEC and AITM attacks • Contain threats and deliver actionable guidance to customers • Perform basic malware analysis to support security incident investigations and triage • Develop and improve incident detection processes and countermeasures • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers during incident response activities • Produce high-quality written and verbal communications, recommendations, and findings for customers and internal stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• This position is open to candidates in PST and MST time zones • Experience in incident handling and coordinating incident response across a broad range of security events • Experience managing multiple simultaneous incidents across hosts and customer environments • Experience investigating host/user compromises, network breaches, organized crime, and advanced persistent threats • Strong working knowledge of attack vectors and threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) • Demonstrated experience applying frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK to active investigations • Hands-on experience using forensic analysis tools • Ability to perform basic static and dynamic malware analysis • Strong understanding of Windows, Mac, and/or Linux operating systems • Understanding of Windows internals, including file system, registry, scheduled tasks, and running processes • Hands-on experience administering networks and resolving connectivity, authentication, and configuration issues • Strong working knowledge of network protocols and analysis tools • Experience analyzing network traffic • Experience with identity and access management platforms such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory • Experience investigating Microsoft 365 security incidents, including BEC and AITM attacks • Working knowledge of enterprise log sources and experience conducting investigation and triage within a SIEM platform • Basic understanding of incident remediation and containment measures • Working knowledge of secure network architecture • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and navigating network environments • Experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting • Experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes • Capable of completing technical tasks without supervision • Must be willing to work a 4x10 schedule, including a day on the weekend • Only open to US citizens and Green Card holders • BA or BS / MA or MS degree in a listed or related field; applicants without a degree but with relevant work experience and/or training will be considered • May be required to periodically undergo and pass alcohol and/or drug tests during employment
