📋 Description

• Build and lead a world-class, multi-team organization of engineering managers, principal engineers and research scientists • Define the multi-year technical strategy, roadmap, OKRs and success metrics for AI security systems • Make investment decisions regarding people, compute and time • Lead programs delivering AI intelligence on the Falcon sensor under strict latency, memory and power budgets • Lead streaming detection, inference and agent platforms operating over trillions of events per day • Drive agentic systems into production for investigation, threat hunting, detection creation and validation, response and remediation • Build the operating model to move Lab research results into the Falcon platform quickly and safely • Establish benchmarks, cyber ranges and evaluation practices for security efficacy, false-positive cost, reliability, latency and spend • Build guardrails against evasion, poisoning, prompt injection and tool abuse • Partner with Falcon engineering, product management, threat intelligence, frontline services and executive leadership • Report strategy, progress, risks and investment opportunities to senior executives • Represent CrowdStrike through relationships, talks, publications and collaborations with AI labs, infrastructure partners, universities and the security research community

🎯 Requirements

• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred) • 15+ years of progressive industry experience in software engineering, machine learning or security engineering • 8+ years managing engineering or applied research teams • 4+ years leading managers across multiple teams • Track record of leading the architecture, delivery and operation of AI or ML systems for security in production • Strong working command of large language models and agentic architectures, including planning, tool use, memory and context management • Knowledge of post-training techniques including SFT, RLHF/RLAIF, DPO/GRPO • Expertise in evaluation and inference optimization • Significant experience in detection and response, threat hunting, malware analysis, vulnerability research, adversary tradecraft (MITRE ATT&CK) or security automation • Experience leading teams building distributed systems, high-throughput data infrastructure and GPU inference stacks • Record of building high-performing teams, developing leaders, managing performance and scaling organizations • Exceptional communication skills and ability to present recommendations to senior executives • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes • Cybersecurity industry experience, frontier AI lab experience, adversarial or offensive AI, extensible AI or agentic platforms, building new organizations, and recognized technical contributions are strong pluses
