📋 Description

• Manage multiple audit engagements for state and local government clients • Lead and coach engagement teams, providing feedback and guidance • Develop and maintain strong client relationships with government entities • Stay current on governmental accounting and auditing standards • Consult on accounting standards and analyze complex transactions • Monitor emerging accounting, auditing, and regulatory developments • Develop and deliver internal training materials and presentations • Participate in internal and external speaking opportunities

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of recent and relevant public accounting external audit experience • Significant experience with state and local government clients • Licensed CPA in aligned home office state or ability to acquire a reciprocal one • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, GASB, Uniform Guidance, and Yellow Book requirements • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and prioritize deadlines • Proven experience supervising and developing staff • Strong interest in technical research, policy development, and assurance methodology • Willingness to travel as needed and work additional hours during peak periods
