📋 Description

• Provide technical advice and support on Shelter and Settlements program design and implementation issues • Support development and implementation of agency-wide Shelter and Settlements strategies, standards, tools, and best practices • Engage partners, donors, and governments and support cross-sectoral integration of gender, protection mainstreaming, and disaster risk reduction • Provide technical solutions to Country Program teams remotely and on-site for strategic planning, standards, best practices, partnership principles, tools, and monitoring and evaluation • Contribute to technical design, preparation, submission, and approval of project concepts and full proposals • Act as a technical writer on proposal development teams as needed • Advise project teams on integrating donor strategies, priorities, and technical requirements • Support capacity-strengthening initiatives through learning and training strategies, curricula, trainings, workshops, coaching, and mentoring • Collect and analyze program data and share lessons learned and best practices • Contribute to the Shelter and Settlements learning agenda and improve decision-making • Maintain relationships with donors, peer organizations, research institutions, and other institutions • Participate in Shelter and Settlements forums to collect and share best practices and promote CRS’ work

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, urban planning, construction management, or a field related to Shelter & Settlements is required • Minimum of five to eight years of relevant work experience with progressive responsibilities • Minimum of two years of relevant field-based experience in Shelter and Settlements • Experience ideally with an international NGO • Proficiency in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Proficiency with web conferencing applications, information and budget management systems, and knowledge-sharing networks • Knowledge of technical principles and concepts in Shelter & Settlements • General knowledge of related disciplines for a cross-sectoral approach • Experience in project design and proposal development, including proposal content writing • Knowledge of capacity-strengthening best practices • Experience with program monitoring, evaluation, and analysis • Experience and skills in networking and relations with donors, peer organizations, and faith-based civil society partners • Understanding of partnership principles • Strong relationship management, strategic, analytical, problem-solving, systems thinking, technical writing, presentation, facilitation, training, mentoring, and coaching skills • English fluency required • Must be willing and able to travel up to 50% • Ability to legally work where the position is performed • Successful candidates must sign and adhere to CRS’ Code of Conduct • U.S.-based or international candidates may be subject to pre-employment medical clearance as applicable
