📋 Description

• Develop, maintain, and support COBOL applications • Design, code, test, and debug COBOL programs • Maintain and enhance existing COBOL applications • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide technical solutions • Perform system analysis and troubleshooting to resolve issues • Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices • Document technical specifications and processes • Serve clients' needs in a collaborative and innovative environment

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in COBOL development within a mainframe environment • Strong understanding of mainframe systems and COBOL programming • Experience with one or more of the following a plus: ADS-Online, ADS-Batch, CICS, Job Control Language, MQ Series, Structured Query Language (SQL) • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving • Ability to work with clients to understand their needs • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Professional presence • Preferred: Experience with VSAM or DB2 • Preferred: Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently • Preferred: Strong customer and vendor relationship skills • Preferred: Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies • Preferred: Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value • Preferred: Past experience working with a Federal agency • Preferred: Department of War experience
