• Inspect new electrical installations and review plans, specifications, drawings, equipment submittals, and related documentation • Issue, pull, obtain, and manage electrical permits across states and municipalities, including permits that may require in-person purchase • Act as qualification agent for medium/high- and low-voltage electrical systems, generators, EV chargers, loadbanks, marine power generation, hydrolyzers, and fuel cells • Ensure Cummins employees’ and subcontractors’ electrical work complies with NEC and state regulations • Conduct site visits, checklist reviews, JSO processes, electrical safety audits, and incident investigations • Confirm required electrical labor, permits, licenses, safety procedures, and testing compliance • Monitor technician trainee cards, work hours, continuing education, and state submissions • Maintain compliance records and document completed inspections in Cummins systems • Maintain relationships with state, city, and local regulatory agencies • Coordinate permitting and schedules with PEM/PM/Data Center and Start & Test teams • Participate in electrical safety meetings and support technician compliance and safety culture • Attend required virtual and in-person meetings and perform other assigned duties
• College, university, or equivalent degree required • Maintain a current Master Electrician license, equivalent master license, or other required electrical licenses in the home state and reciprocal states as required • Maintain required work hours and continuing education credits • Hold or be willing to apply for reciprocity electrical licenses for applicable reciprocal states • Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including team leadership experience • Knowledge of NEC and state electrical installation laws and regulations • Knowledge of NEC/NFPA70E codes and qualification requirements • Experience with electrical systems, including medium/high- and low-voltage power systems, generator installations, EV charger installations, loadbank testing, marine power generation, hydrolyzers, and fuel cells • Ability to travel extensively, estimated at 75–90% in the home and reciprocal states • Ability to attend virtual and in-person meetings • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
