📋 Description

• Support supplier quality initiatives to achieve operational and strategic supplier quality goals • Build relationships with external suppliers, external customers, and internal stakeholders including Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Engineering • Apply APQP processes, AIAG tools, and Cummins specialty tools to develop or improve external supplier manufacturing processes • Participate in external supplier audits and potentially lead low-complexity, low-risk audits after certification • Support resolution of supplier-related quality challenges through root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification • Participate in continuous-improvement projects using lean and Six Sigma methodologies • Support quality performance planning and improvement for assigned product types or supplier segments • Execute APQP, VPI quality support, continuous improvement initiatives, and Product Problem Solving activities • Support successful product launches and ongoing supplier quality performance

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject from a U.S. college/university required • Mechanical Engineering preferred; Industrial Engineering considered • External candidate within 2 years of completing highest degree from an accredited U.S. college/university • Currently reside within the continental U.S. • F-1 students must have approved CPT or OPT before the Early Career assignment begins, related to their degree and authorized by their university • Minimal relevant work experience required • Project management • Problem solving • Resourcefulness • Analytics • Knowledge of APQP, AIAG tools, and Cummins specialty tools • Knowledge of quality standards including ISO9001:2015 and IATF16949 • Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, Source Release, and PPAP • Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing principles • May require licensing for export controls or sanctions compliance
