📋 Description

• Provide day-to-day legal support and general counseling for enterprise shared services, including corporate governance, board and subsidiary/entity management, privacy, employment, intellectual property, and other legal matters • Support the corporate development team on mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions, including drafting, negotiation, and diligence • Lead privacy strategy initiatives with the Chief Privacy Officer and privacy program on HIPAA, privacy, and data security matters • Develop policies and procedures and support privacy program development, incident and breach analysis, and business associate arrangements • Review, track, and monitor legislation and regulations affecting services and operations, providing timely analysis and summaries to leadership • Provide occasional support on vendor, IT, and other commercial agreements • Innovate with generative artificial intelligence tools to automate workflows and improve legal work • Develop strong working relationships with business clients and legal and compliance partners • Provide timely, actionable, and responsive legal services to the board, executive leadership, management, and stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school required • Active admission to at least one state bar and in good standing required • 2-5 years of experience in corporate, healthcare, and/or privacy-focused legal practice, either in-house or with a law firm • Experience advising healthcare organizations preferred • Demonstrated experience supporting corporate governance, entity management, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions • Strong legal analysis, research, drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills • Experience advising on healthcare regulatory, compliance, privacy, and data protection matters, including HIPAA, preferred • Proficiency using generative AI tools to enhance legal research, drafting, workflow efficiency, and productivity • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Sound judgment, strong decision-making skills, and ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint • Must be able to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is unavailable
